Wilmington Therapeutic Massage

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Wilmington, NC was founded to create some of the most successful entrepreneurs in hair, skin and nail esthetics, makeup, massage and total body wellness. Our students are educated by accomplished professionals, using innovative curriculums that blend professional techniques with retail and business-building skills.

MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAM

The mission of College of Wilmington’s Massage Therapy School program is to train students in the art of touch and the application of pressure in such manners that enhance clients’ relaxation, reduce overall body fatigue, and assist in client rehabilitation.

COURSE METHODOLOGY

  • Massage Therapy Courses and Theory Classes to provide you with the fundamentals of massage techniques.
  • On-Campus Spa Clinic for your hands-on training to put your massage skills into practice.
  • State Board Preparation Courses to prepare you to sit for the MBLEx exam issued by the Federation of the State Massage Therapy Board.

Federal student aid is available to qualified students. Those that qualify may be awarded a Pell grant, Direct Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized Stafford Loans, and/or Direct Parent Plus loan. In order to be considered for aid, a student must complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), which is available at . The amount of financial aid that a student may be awarded is based on a student’s EFC (Expected Family Contribution), which is determined by his or her FAFSA application.

CAREER OPTIONS

The Massage Therapy School Diploma Program is designed to prepare you to pass the State examination and will give you the opportunity to practice as a licensed massage therapist :

  • in a SPA environment
  • in Medical or Healthcare-related settings
  • in fitness and sports industries
  • in your own practice/or as an independent contractor
